  15.      _k_e_y_b_o_a_r_d allows users to set four keyboard parameters: key click sounds
  16.      (on or off), key repeat (whether or not holding down a key causes a
  17.      character to repeat), repeat speed (rate at which a depressed key will
  18.      repeat characters), and repeat delay (amount of time to pass before a
  19.      depressed key begins repeating characters).

  22.      The panel can be launched from the toolchest (Desktop > Customize >
  23.      Keyboard) or from a Unix shell command line.  Like most other
  24.      customization panels, the desktop panel has the ``runonce'' feature,
  25.      meaning only one instance of the application will run at one time.
  26.      Attempting to launch the application a second time will have the effect
  27.      of deiconifying the application window or popping it to the top on the
  28.      current desk.

  40.      The keyboard panel does not read from any files.  Keyboard settings
  41.      selected by the user are changed into _x_s_e_t commands and written into the
  42.      file $_H_O_M_E/._d_e_s_k_t_o_p-<_h_o_s_t_n_a_m_e>/_p_a_n_e_l_s_e_s_s_i_o_n where <_h_o_s_t_n_a_m_e> is the
  43.      result of running the _h_o_s_t_n_a_m_e(_1) command.  When the user logs in,
  44.      /_u_s_r/_l_i_b/_X_1_1/_x_d_m/_X_s_e_s_s_i_o_n._d_t executes and reads these settings.
